Titanic's Reception Room was located at the foot of the D-deck staircase. Designed in the Jacobean style, this room was a hub for the first class passengers to gather before dinner. It was also the first public space encountered when boarding the ship through the D-deck gangway. At tea time, the orchestra would gather play some of the popular operas and waltzes of the era.
